    Shanxi to establish resource compensation

    It is reported that Shanxi province is planning to establish resource compensation mechanism and aid mechanism for declining industries in 11 cities and major coal yielding countries before 2010.


    As per report, Shanxi's economy is mainly supported by coal exploiting, processing industries. Coal resource scatters in 94 countries of the total 119 countries in this province, contributing a lot for the nation's development. However, companying with environmental problems, Shanxi's coal resource is drying out now.


    Shanxi will help the resources exhausting cities to set up substitutable industries. Shanxi will primarily form the market oriented exploitation right mechanism and coal price formation mechanism through starting up the resource compensation mechanism and aid mechanism for recession industries in 11 major coal yielding countries by 2010.
