Chinalco and Dongfeng Company Reinforce Cooperation on Auto Aluminum Alloy Plate

(China Aluminum Network) Aohong, the vice president of Chinalco come to Dongfeng Company, both parties have a deep exchange on development of auto aluminum alloy plate.

Aohong said Chinalco owns strong advantages in aluminum fabrication and new material R&D field. At present, Chinalco was in the process of industry transformation and upgrading. In future, Chinalco will enlarge the R&D of auto high-end aluminum products, and plans to establish joint venture to support lightweight car. He hopes both parties can give play to own advantages, enhance communication and promote the development of lightweight car in common.

Liu Weidong, the vice president of Dongfeng Company, pointed out fuel consumption of passenger vehicles should lower to 5L per hundred kilometers in 2020 which means technological updating is a must for auto industry. The technological updating of fuel consumption reduction is the main task for light weight cars.
