Aluminium Two Thousand World Congress to be held in Florence, Italy, in May 2015

Two events in one: the strength of synergy and the power of innovation. 130 papers from 55 countries, 600 participants for the most comprehensive world review on aluminium technologies and markets.

The Aluminium Two Thousand World Congress, at its 9th Edition, will be held in Florence, Italy, in May 2015.

The major novelty is that the Aluminium Two Thousand congress will be held together with the 5th ICEB, the International Conference on Extrusion and Benchmark.

The event is organized by Interall Srl (Aluminium Publications) and Diem-Tech, the Engineering Department of Bologna University Alma Mater Studiorum, together with the Institute of Forming Technology and Lightweight Construction (IUL) Dortmund.

The Aluminium Two Thousand Conferences, since their beginning in 1990, have become not-to-be-missed events for aluminium technology and marketing people all over the world. The highly practical and specialized character of these meetings justifies why experts from all Countries have flocked to hear and debate an ever increasing number of presentations from authoritative speakers on the most relevant branches of aluminium knowledge.

The two events will bring together “aluminium and light alloys” specialists in a single venue, creating a very attractive and unique opportunity for industry managers, technicians, researchers, technology suppliers and other qualified speakers for meeting and understanding the latest researches, discoveries and the trends for the future.

Four parallel sessions will take a look at the main themes of the last aluminium researchers:

--The first parallel session will deal with “Extrusion Dies”, Extrusion Process, Extrusion Plant & Management with particular emphasis on numerical modeling and automation systems, database and extrusion process monitoring.
Also the themes of Extrusion Products, Architectural Applications And Special Uses will be analyzed: aluminium for structural use, deformation of aluminium profiles, Safety aspects and energy saving, applications in architecture.

-- The second parallel session is completely dedicated to Aluminium Finishing: Anodizing and Hard Anodizing (latest studies, nano-technology, Acid Etch, Plasma electrolytic oxidation, studies of electrolysis baths), Coating (pretreatment before coating, chrome free systems, Eco-Friendly Solution for Aluminium Pre Treatment, aesthetic surface treatment with high durability, corrosion protection), Environmental Protection and Recycling.

-- The third parallel session is entirely dedicated to Casting & die-casting (semi-solid casting for reducing energy, Methodology for Temperature Evaluation, micro-porosity gravity die-casting, Self-cleaning effects, Casting Structural Alloys, Casting in the Auto Industry).

-- The fourth parallel session will deal with Measuring, Testing & Quality Techniques (quality management and control, measuring instruments), Rolling technology (heat transfer, and new studies), Advanced Forming Processing & Welding, Metallurgy (Metallurgical and Mechanical Characterization, Welding), Alloys Billets & Related Equipment.
