Guangxi to build Asia Aluminium Base

Guangxi is rich in bauxite resources which accounts for more than 50 pct of those in China. This province is famous for bauxite of large storage, good quality, thick ore bed, easy to mine and high mining value. Bauxite resources is mainly distributed in Baise.

Explore of bauxite resource will contribute to development of Baise, a unenlightened region in Guangxi.

By now, Baise has formed a scale of 3400000T alumina production and 200000T aluminium processing. A industrial base majoring on aluminiun is coming into shape. It is predicted that by 2010, the city can reach construction scale of 5800000T alumina, 2000000T electrolytic aluminium, 1500000T aluminum downstream processing, realizing total output of 100000000000 yuan, financial income about 10000000000 yuan.
