National Aluminium Products Company SAOG (NAPCO) has announced that in order to meet the growing demand of aluminium-based powder coating systems in the region, they have acquired a new vertical powder coating line. NAPCO is one of the leading manufacturers of aluminium extrusions in GCC and the only one in Oman capable of addressing the need for powder-coated extrusions with up to 8 meters of length. Only three other companies in the entire GCC are capable of doing the same.

The new acquisition is in line with the company’s expansion plans having already acquired a horizontal powder coating line, the new vertical one purchased from a leading European supplier, is capable of high production capacity at the same time managing to powder-coat the extrusions economically.

The General Manager of NAPCO, Robert Holtkamp says that last year there were many instances where they had to turn away enthusiastic customers due to overcapacity. The acquisition of the new powder-coating system would allow them to meet the increasing demand of the customers.

By September 2015, the new powder coating system is expected to be incorporated into the existing line allowing the company to produce 27,000 metric tonnes per year, with the help of both the horizontal and the new vertical lines.
