Brazil aluminum association: The domestic consumption and export of aluminum products is to maintain a healthy developme

Brazil aluminum association released 2006 aluminum market data report. According to the association, in the past two years, the domestic consumption and export of aluminum products confirm that the aluminum industry is to maintain a healthy development momentum.

The total consumption of aluminum processed products is 837,600 tons in 2006, an increase of 4.4% over the last year. Some have outstanding performances, such as 6.5% increase in extrusion products infected by furniture industry and declined product revenue, 4.5% increase in aluminum strip and 5.6% increase in foundry products.

It is estimated by Brazil aluminum association that the consumption of processed products will increase by 5.3% to 882,400 tons in 2007. The corresponding performance of the industry is 8% increase in extrusion products, 6.8% increase in aluminum foil and 3.9% increase in strip.
