The market demand for European aluminium alloy is reading high at the final quarter of the year putting pressure on the market especially for the material that is due to be delivered in December and January.
The aluminium alloy producers are saying that the end of the year has been exceptionally busy where they are already sold out for January before the start of December which has never happened before.
The market price for the 226 aluminium alloy however have remained stable at 1,760-1,780 euros/mt for large scale purchases and 1,800-1,810 euros/mt for the smaller scale purchases, despite the tight market conditions.
Since the boom of aluminium in the auto industry, the demand has already risen by 20% in the second half of 2014 and is expected to rise another 10% in the coming year, with the first quarter being particularly strong.
