Sapa has signed a distribution agreement in China for its Sapa Building System brand with Jiayu, one of the country's leading manufacturers of windows and doors.
Beijing Jiayu Door, Window and Curtain Wall Joint-Stock Co., Ltd, is a leading provider of energy-saving doors, windows and curtain walling solutions. The company was founded in 1987 and listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange in September 2010. It has 20 production units throughout China.

“We have been looking for a large and well-established Chinese distributor in China to increase our share in the market. The deal promises to be a win-win for both parties,” says Joe Sleiman, who leads the Asia unit for Sapa Building Systems’ international organization.
Sapa also will support the agreement with the supply of extruded aluminium products from its plant in Jiangyin.

The two companies first met at the Bau trade fair in Germany in January 2013. At that time, says Sleiman, Jiayu was looking for a top European brand to distribute in China.

Since the signing of the distribution agreement, Sapa arranged a number of technical training sessions with Jiayu staff. As a result, Jiayu will present the Avantis and Confort range to customers already this week at Fenestration China 2014, which takes place at Beijing’s New China International Exhibition Center.
