According to a report by Industrial Info Resource Australia, global alumina prices have hit their all-time high since September 2011 and it does not look like it is about to stop any time soon. Refineries in China, India and Middle East are boosting their production which means there will be an even stronger demand for bauxite in future. Add to that, the diminishing bauxite exports from India and ban on Indonesian bauxite, Australia is likely to emerge as the ideal supplier of the all-important raw material.
