Century Aluminum announces better products and more jobs

This time last year, Century Aluminum, in Sebree, was facing the possibility of shutting down, Today, the company held an event to celebrate the kickoff of their new "Premium Products Initiative".

It's a multi-million dollar project that will not only benefit the smelter, but the community as well. It will bring in several jobs.

A company spokesman says, “we've got a large footprint here and we intend on being here for a very long time and we're very thankful for the support and the ability to do this and this expansion.

“ Century Aluminum has had a smelter in Sebree for 42 years.
