The aluminum-bodied Jaguar XE Compact Sports Sedan is all set for its London release on September 8 and the company has just released the technical details of the new launch.
The aluminium-intensive architecture is the central focus in the design which has been developed around the same riveted and bonded aluminium platform that one finds on the Jaguar XJ, XK and F-TYPE. The key features of the new model include high strength, rigid body and an integral link rear suspension integrated into the advanced chassis design.
There are many aluminium components to the machine made of both hollow-cast and forged aluminium, like the F-TYPE design inspired, double-wishbone front suspension mounted on a subframe with cast aluminium suspension towers.
