World July unwrought aluminum stocks increase 31,000 mt: IAI

Global unwrought aluminum inventories at the end of July were up 31,000 mt from June and up 140,000 mt from July 2013, according to figures released Tuesday by the International Aluminium Institute.

Unwrought inventories totaled 1.316 million mt at the end of July, up from a June total of 1.285 million mt and up from 1.176 million mt at the end of July 2013.

Total aluminum inventories at the end of June were up 19,000 mt at 2.379 million mt, from a revised 2.360 million mt the previous month, and up 152,000 mt from 2.227 million mt at the end of June 2013, the IAI said.
