Aluminium prices edged up by 0.24% to INR 123.15 per kg in futures trade today as speculators enlarged positions due to pick-up in demand at the spot market.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for delivery in August moved up marginally by 25 paise, or 0.24%, to INR 123.15 per kg in a business turnover of 308 lots.
Likewise, the metal for delivery in September traded higher by 30 paise, or 0.24%, to INR 123.55 per kg in eight lots.
Market analysts attributed the rise in aluminium futures to pick-up in demand in the spot market.
