China's Xichuan Aluminum aims to double its aluminum foil output capacity to 20,000 mt/year by 2015, further raising to 50,000 mt/year by 2020, the producer said.
"Next year, our capacity will be boosted to 20,000 mt/year. By 2020, capacity will be enhanced further to 50,000 mt/year," the company's regional sales manager Li Xin said on the sidelines of Aluminium China 2014 conference in Shanghai last Thursday.
Based in central China's Henan province, Xichuan Aluminum currently has a production capacity of 10,000 mt/year.
The company produced around 8,000 mt in 2013, of which 70% were exported to overseas markets such as the US, South America, Russia, Southeast Asia and Australia.
Xichuan Aluminum, which also produces refined aluminum ingots and colored aluminum products, expects the company's total products value to reach Yuan 20 billion ($125 million) by end-2015, doubling from Yuan 10 billion in 2012.
Company officials did not provide details on the production capacities of its other aluminum products.
