Aluminium Bahrain B.S.C. (Alba) would like to express its sincere thanks to His Royal Highness The Prime Minister, Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness, The Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier, Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa for their continuous support to Alba and for granting their approval to provide the natural gas allocation for Alba’s Line 6 expansion project, as stated by Alba’s Chairman of Board of Directors, Shaikh Daij Bin Salman Bin Daij Al Khalifa.
Adding further, Shaikh Daij Bin Salman Bin Daij Al Khalifa said:
“We are very pleased with this announcement and express our profound gratitude to the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain for its commitment to further develop the Aluminium Industry in Bahrain. The Line 6 expansion project will make Alba one of the largest single site smelters in the world and will be a major boost to Bahrain economy. Currently, Alba sells approximately 50% of its production to the local downstream with the plan to further increase this level as part of the Line 6 expansion. The Line 6 expansion will create many new employment opportunities for Bahrainis at both Alba and the local Downstream industries. We look forward to continued progress on Line 6 Project in the coming months.”
