Shanxi to Build Aluminum Cycle Industry Base

(China Aluminum Network) It is learned that Shanxi province government and CHALCO has signed a strategic cooperation agreement. CHALCO will invest 57 billion Yuan in Shanxi to develop coal-power-aluminum high-end aluminum fabrication and comprehensive utilization of resources.

According to the agreement, CHALCO will through interior capacity replacement to develop 2000 thousand tons advanced electrolytic aluminum capacity, also will construct 10000 thousand tons coal mine and coal cleaning plant, 350 kilo watts low heating value captive power plant and 1000 thousand tons high-end aluminum fabrication project, to establish coal-power-aluminum high-end aluminum fabrication and comprehensive utilization of resources industry chain and form aluminum cycle industry base.

Both partied will give full play to their advantages, further enhance cooperation range and scale, promote the integration of Shanxi resource superiority and industrial development, aims to create coal-power-aluminum cycle industry base which contains core competitiveness in Shanxi.
