Nikica Ljubic has been appointed today as CEO of Aluminij d.d. Mostar to a full four-year term. The decision on the appointment was made with a majority vote at today's session of the Supervisory Board of Aluminij.

Ljubic was the acting director of the Company starting from April 28 this year, and he had been appointed by the members of the SB after the previous CEO Željko Kordic submitted his irrevocable resignation to this position.

The new CEO was elected today among the three applicants to tender. The Supervisory Board session was preceded by interviews with all the candidates, and besides Ljubic the other candidates were Dalibor Miloš and Goran Cavar. Ljubic had the best qualifications and demonstrated the most realistic vision for recovery of the greatest BiH exporter which has been in an utterly unenviable position for the past months, with blocked accounts and compromised liquidity which disables this company to perform even the basic obligations, necessary to maintain the stability of the production.

CEO Nikica Ljubic was born in 1973, and before he took over this post he held a number of positions in Aluminij (among other things he was the Assistant Director to the CEO for the Strategic Development, the Director of Commercial Affairs, the Director of Maintenance…). He has been employed in Aluminij since 2002 and therefore he has a very good knowledge of the company's issues and personnel situation.
