Domestic C919 Aircraft May Use Aluminum Alloy Core Cable

(China Aluminum Network) According to Huang Chongqi the academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE) that use aluminum to replace copper is the international development tendency, now auto, plane and ship aluminum alloy wire has obtained substantial application. The on-going research aircraft C919 and Shanghai Electric Cable Research Institute(SECRI) has built partnership and may use aluminum alloy core cable.

Huang Chongqi said with the growth of auto, light weight aircraft, auto use aluminum alloy wire has won industrialness application. A380 has already adopted aluminum alloy core cable and thin-wall cable, which is easy to maintain and installation, apply to various kinds of aircrafts. This kind of technology and equipment also apply to auto aluminum wire connection sign.
