Reed Exhibitions is proud to announce that this year, a key event in its Machine Tools, Metalworking & Industrial Materials cluster, Aluminium China 2014, will be bolstered by the introduction of three value-enhancing pavilions. The Surface Treatment Pavilion, the Furnaces & Heat Treatment Equipment Pavilion and the Extrusion Aluminium Product Pavilion are a direct response to customer feedback gathered after Aluminium China 2013. This year’s show will be held from July 9 -11 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC), with a crisp new layout that allows visitors to explore the show site by focusing on categories of most interest to them.

Aluminum China is Asia‘s top trading, sourcing, networking and branding platform for the complete aluminum industry chain. It features leading industry figures, cutting edge technologies and advanced applications. The event engages the global Aluminium community with new customized matchmaking programs that link high-intent buyers with leading suppliers. This year, over 500 international exhibitors from 30 countries will showcase their newest solutions across an exhibition area of 35,000sqm. They will represent the entire aluminium production chain - from aluminium raw materials, semi-finished and finished products, to production and processing machinery and accessories. The exhibitors will interact with 16,000 qualified professionals and buyers from China, Asia and globally emerging markets.

Aluminium downstream processing is central to this year’s exhibition. Today, the exploration of downstream fields is hot in China’s aluminum manufacturing landscape. Surface treatment and extrusion processing are key to downstream production. Purchasing decision makers fromestablished aluminium manufacturers in China and Asia area will be onsite to seek suppliers who offer technologies and equipment to fulfill these needs.

Pollution reduction and energy conservation are two more themes for this year’s show, in light of current environmental concerns. New technology used in furnaces and heat will be sure to be popular among aluminium manufacturers.

The grouping of exhibits by product type is a huge boost for visitors seeking to use their time onsite efficiently. This is a new move the organizers to attract the most high caliber target buyers and enhance the outcomes of participating, by giving buyers the chance to make a beeline for the vendors of their choice.

Fueled by rapid and extensive urbanization, China’s economy is the world’s fastest growing and second largest. Nearly half of the country’s skyrocketing GDP stems from industrial growth that is driving demand for aluminium and raw materials. Over the last decade, China has quadrupled it today, China is expected to account for 52% of the world’s aluminium consumption by 2025. All these factors are fueling optimism within the aluminium industry, with experts predicting a sustained period of prosperity and growth over the coming years.
