Emirates Global Aluminium is an aluminium conglomerate in the UAE formed by Investment Corporation of Dubai, Mubadala Development Corporation, Aluminium ( DUBAL ) and Emirates Aluminium (EMAL). The body is expected to improve the quality and excellence of the UAE aluminium industry. Further certifications received in 2013 by DUBAL & EMAL, according to the management system standards from the International Organisation for Standardisation(ISI) has also highlighted the rising success of the UAE aluminium industry.
In December 2013, EMAL received ISO 10002 Certificate for efficient Complaints Handling. EMAL has been upgraded to ISO 10002 from ISO 9001 to which EMAL is already certified. In 2013, 100 per cent of complaints from customers have been handled successfully by DUBAL's Customer Complaints Management team.
As Saeed Fadhel Al Mazrooei, President & CEO, EMAL said, "As a leading player in the global aluminium market, delivering excellence in all that we do is an imperative. We aspire to the highest international standards and the accreditations we have received reflect the culture of excellence that exists across the entire workforce, as well as the commitment and dedication of our employers to deliver a world-class service."
In November 2013, the Learning Centre of Dubal (DLC) was successfully verified and certified for ISO 29990:2010 Learning services for non-formal education and training. DLC is now considered a new benchmark in its field as very few industrial training centres are verified to the ISO 29990:2010 standard. It is the first learning centre to achieve it from LRQA in the UAE manufacturing sector.
