Electrolytic Aluminum Capacity Will Hit 32,000 Thousand Tons

(China Aluminum Network) Wen Xianjun, the vice president of China Non-Ferrous Metals Industry Association expected the total capacity of electrolytic aluminum may hit 32,000 thousand tons at the end of 2013.
Wen Xianjun said if newly added capacity under control, eliminate 700 thousand tons outdated capacity, 5,700 thousand tons high cost capacity quit successfully and expand aluminum application; the target to digest oversupply electrolytic aluminum capacity will realize soon.
He introduced that electrolytic aluminum output was 20,110 thousand tons to November increased 9.6%, expected reach to 22,000 thousand tons at the end of this year. While the output of aluminum products was 35,920 thousand tons increased 24.73% yoy, the annual output may reach 39,000 thousand tons.
From January to October, investment in aluminum smelting was 68.4 billion Yuan reduced 4.68% yoy; aluminum fabrication invested in 131.1 billion Yuan increased 70.98%.
