Chinese Aluminum Producer Forming Joint Venture with Ashapura Minechem.

Chinese news outlets are reporting the Qingtongxia Aluminum, China’s second largest aluminum producer, is establishing a 5 billion yuan joint venture with Indian company Ashapura Minechem.
The Chinese planning commission, National Development and Reform Commission approved the proposal to establish an alumina mining and processing joint venture between the two companies with a 50% share for each. The processing facility is expected to have a 1 million ton production capacity annually. Qingtongxia has an annual production capacity of 430,000 ton of primary aluminum, which needs 900,000 tons of alumina a year. Source:
