AVIC XI¡¯AN aircraft industry group visits China Zhongwang

AVIC XI'AN Aircraft Industry Group visited China Zhongwang to see the aluminium extrusion production amid other matters.

During the tour, AVIC XAC team saw the Group's exhibition hall, smelting and casting plant, aluminium processing plant, aluminium alloy auto-bodied manufacturing plant, dies plant, engineering technology research center…etc. At the end of the tour, the team members came to know how aluminium extrusion production lines are operating, product quality, and the Group's operation and development.

A meeting was held after the site visit. Both parties shared their thoughts on aluminium extrusion production and future collaboration. AVIC XAC highly commended China Zhongwang's leapfrog development in transportation sector. China Zhongwang's success in the transportation sector was largely built on its strong capabilities in die design and production, alloy smelting and casting, 20+ sizeable extrusion presses, and R&D team. With these capabilities, China Zhongwang is able to produce high performance aviation industrial aluminium extrusion. AVIC XAC revealed its intention to collaborate with China Zhongwang one day and felt optimistic about the possible collaboration.

Aviation used industrial aluminium extrusion is one of the key projects of China Zhongwang. In the 1H, China Zhongwang kicked off its "7075 Extrusion Billets for Aviation Applications" research project. The research project was catered to meet exacting requirements of the aviation and aerospace sectors in specifications, properties and quality, signifying a new level in the group's production technology for high-end aluminium processing products. It is predicted that by 2031, the number of plants will double and 35% of which will come from Asian region. In the next 20 years, China is likely to become the second largest aviation market globally and will see its demand quadrupled from now.
