China Primary Aluminum Output Up 5.24% YoY

(China Aluminum Network) China primary aluminum output increased 1.3% compared with last month, reached 1,863 thousand tons and created new high. The primary aluminum output in August up 5.24% compared with the same period in last year.

The analyst said the new capacity in northwest region has helped to improve the aluminum output.

Domestic spot aluminum price has fallen nearly 5%, as this industry was over supply now.

The data showed China primary aluminum output was 14,349 thousand tons, increased 8.2% yoy.

Henan province which is the biggest aluminum producer has produced 274,140 tons of primary aluminum in August, while Xinjiang produced 218,261 tons.
