Yunnan Aluminium Co., Ltd costs 100 million Yuan more due to electricity price rise

According to Yunnan Aluminium Co., Ltd today, the company witnesses a 2.8 Fen rise in every KWH due to electricity price rise from July 1st, 2008.

Electricity cost of aluminium production rises by 500 yuan per ton, setting electricity cost of its branch company around 100 million yuan higher.

The company adopted strategies against this situation as follows:

1. Accelerate construction of projects of wide aluminium alloy strip of 80 thousand Ton medium&high strength, 40 thousand Ton per year alumina of high strength and high temperature resistant, and 800 thousand Ton alumina. Broaden the space of cost lowering and effect increasing, ease the pressure calculated from cost rise and promote the ability in risk resistance. 

2. Reinforce cost control on the bases of healthy management.

3. Further promote standard management by relying on technology innovation and management innovation.
