Electrolytic Aluminum Industry Lost 0.109 Billion Dollars in H1 2013

(China Aluminum Network) Affected by excess production capacity, electrolytic aluminum industry lost 0.67 billion Yuan (0.109 billion dollars) in the first half year of this year.

The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) stated will take some special measures to solve the issue of excess production capacity in this industry in the second half year.

According to a report of MIIT, this industry faced three challenges: excess production capacity, high cost of production and export still can not make relevant adjustment in accordance with global weak demand.

MIIT expected in the following half year non-ferrous price will fluctuated on the basis of minimum profits.
