    China Aluminum Output Up 7.9% in H1 2013

    (China Aluminum Network) According to the data from China Non-ferrous Metals Industry Association that in H1 2013 China produced 10,580 thousand tons of aluminum, increased 7.9% year-on-year. With the starting of new capacity (mainly in Northwestward), the production in H2 was expected to growth rapidly.


     


    The main production reached 1,840 thousand tons in June this year.


     


    In the first half year, China imported 45,500 tons of primary aluminum, dropped 81% when compared with last year.


     


    Compared with last year, the production of semi-finished aluminum products increased 24.58% to 18,200 thousand tons. The net export volume reached 1,250 thousand tons, increased nearly 8%, reversed the expectation of down trend in last year.


     


    Owing to the growth speed of nation real estate industry was more than 20% in the first half year, the aluminum demand from construction field also experienced steady growth.


     


    During this period, cars production increased 12.83%.
