(China Aluminum Network) According to the market research and development tendency expectation of China alumina industry from 2013 to 2017, including domestic and overseas alumina industry’ market position, market competitiveness, and import and export trade and business performance of major enterprises.
China with leading bauxite reserves in the world, 97% of bauxite was mainly spread in Shandong, Henan, Guizhou, Guangxi, Sichuan, Shandong and Yunnan.
The annual capacity of China alumina was 54,000 thousand tons in 2012, affected by retarded economic growth and macro-control, the alumina consumption was slow down. China alumina production occupied 39.51% of world total production, consumption volume occupied 45%. China has been the largest metallurgy alumina producer and consumer.
In 2012, China’s actual alumina production was around 41650 thousand tons, increased 7.32% yoy; the demand of alumina was near 40200 thousand tons, increased 2.97%.
