Henan Discovered Large Bauxite Area

(China Aluminum Network) It is reported that Henan geological exploration team has discovered a large bauxite area in Mianchi, San Menxia and Shan Xian. This area contained more than 0.16 billion tons of bauxite, which was another important discovery since the implementation of mine exploration strategy in Henan.

To the West of Caoyao, aluminum under coal general survey project was started in June, 2011, now has entered into the closeout phase, Henan Provincial Nonferrous Metals Geological and Minerals Resources Bureau was in charge of this project. According to the introduction at the end of this February, certain bauxite resource reserve was about 166,540 thousand tons in the bauxite area; this was the biggest discovery in Henan province.
