    Bosai Group 800 Thousand Tons Alumina Project to be the Largest Alumina Base in Chongqing

    (China Aluminum Network) With the up and running of Bosai 800 thousand tons alumina technical improvement project, Nanchuan has built the largest alumina base in the city; annual production reached 1600 thousand tons.


     


    Through overseas expansion and technological improvement, the production capacity of Bosai Xianfeng Alumina Company improved from 50 to 800 thousand tons. This year, company’s high aluminum low silicon content ore which was obtained from Ghana will deliver to the factory continuously, this means Bosai’s mineral resources was enough though domestic bauxite was tight.


     


    Chinalco “80” project was a large aluminum industry base included the production of bauxite and alumina which was up and running in last year. Each year it produced alumina 800 thousand tons, bauxite 1,650 thousand tons, aluminum concentrate 1,550 thousand tons and generated electricity 0.278 billion KWh each. This project adopted international beneficiation series process; the main technical-economic indicator reached world advanced level.
