China aluminum scrap price breaks flat spell

Metal Miner reported that the price of Chinese aluminum scrap fell 1.8% on March 5th 2013 making it the day’s biggest mover after 3 days of flat prices.

The Chinese aluminum cash price steadied following two days of dropping prices. The price of Chinese aluminum bar was unchanged. Following 2 days of downward movement, the price of Chinese aluminum billet held steady.

After a 0.7% increase, the primary aluminum cash price finished the day on the LME at USD 1,926 per tonne. On the LME, the aluminum 3-month price rose 0.6% to USD 1,972 per tonne. The cash price of primary Indian aluminum increased 0.1%.
