Aluminium China to expand international visitor delegation program

Aluminium China, the leading aluminium sourcing platform in Asia for industry professionals and buyers from the aluminium industry and a wide array of application industries will expand its international visitor delegation program. Aluminium China’s new visitor initiative can be understood as a direct reaction on China’s developing industry requirements which strongly demand for more know how and business relationships with partners from abroad. China’s production of primary aluminium in November 2012 increased by 13% compared to the same period in the previous year mainly as a result of newly founded smelting plants and restarting domestic smelters that had been shut down in 2008 and 2009. As a consequence of the 18th CPC National Congress, domestic aluminum smelters operate at full capacity and the plants in Xinjiang are starting with their production. Accordingly China’s primary aluminum output will continue to grow in the coming months.

At the same time China is set to remain the world’s largest aluminium consumer throughout the next several years accounting for more than 40% of global aluminium consumption. According to Alcoa’s latest predictions the demand for Aluminium in China is expected to exceed former forecasts and grow by 11% in 2013 to 23 million tonnes as the country’s new investments will begin to show their effect.
