Aluminum Industry Access Threshold Improved

(China Aluminum Network) Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) released exposure draft for aluminum industry access threshold, regulated access threshold and solicited opinions from the general public.

According to the content, alumina enterprises’ primary scale should equip with annual production capacity 800 thousand tons and above, supporting bauxite mine proportion should more than 85% and supporting resource guarantee should more than 30 years. The newly built secondary aluminium project scale should reach 100 thousand tons per year and above; the existing secondary aluminium enterprises’ production scale should no less than 50 thousand tons/year.  Moreover, bauxite mine, alumina, electrolytic aluminium and secondary aluminium project capital ratio should over 35%.
