Green Building Stimulate Aluminum Profiles Demand

(China Aluminum Network) General Office of the State Council of the People's Republic of China forwarded a message: during the 12th Five-Year Plan newly built green buildings should reach 1 billion square meters, at the end of 2015, 20% of the newly built buildings in towns should meet standards for green architectures.

According to calculation, the 1 billion newly built square meters green buildings need 660 thousand tons of aluminum profiles, domestic energy-saving aluminum profile enterprises will get benefits from this project. Aluminum door and window profiles occupied about 1.3% of the construction and installation cost, thus cost will not limited the promotion of energy-saving aluminum profiles.
