CPI Alumina Project Got Permission From Guinea Government

(China Aluminum Network) China Power Investment Corporation (CPI) suggested to build an annual production of 4,000 thousand tons alumina refinery in Boffa has obtained permission from Guinea Government. This project was invested about 6 billion dollars totally, including a deepwater port and a power station. The project has obtained permission at recent cabinet council. Council of ministers signed and issued Environmental Protection Certificate for CPI’s project, this was the last procedure needed before groundbreaking and construction.
China Power Investment Corporation (CPI) is the second largest aluminum producer in China, to promote aluminum value chain integration is the company’s recent strategy way. This kind of development in Guinea contributes to ease company’s supply falls short of demand situation.
