How to Improve Quality of Aluminum Profile’s Extruding Mould

(China Aluminum Network) Extruding mould’s quality is very important and significant for aluminum profiles. So let’s see some methods to make high quality mould.
Firstly, polishing and grinding is necessary before aluminum mould is on the machine; working belt should be polished to mirror. We should inspect the verticality and flatness of the belt. Quality of nitrogen decides the degree of finish to some extent. We should use high pressure and brush to clean the inside of mould in order to clean out the dust. The dust and impurity substances would produce rough and defect profiles.
Heat preservation is two to three hours. It can not be over eight hours; otherwise the strength of nitrogen layer will be reduces which resulted in rough surface or other defect.
Adopt correct alkaline cleaning method. After unloading, the temperature is above five hundred or more. If it is immersed in alkaline, the mould is easily cracking. The correct way is that mould will be immersed in alkaline when the mould is 100 to 150 degrees after unloading.
Optimize the extrusion process. Rational using of mould to manufacture is one aspect that can not be ignored if you want to extend mould life.
Nitriding treatment is necessary when pre-using. We should do three to four times of nitriding treatments in the processing. Generally speaking, the thickness of nitride layer is about 0.15mm.
Let the using records be kept down when using the mould in the extruding process.
Choose appropriate extruder. We should calculate the cross-section before production of extruding. We should determine the extruder dimension according to the cross-section.
The cross-section of the aluminum profile is ever-changing. Aluminum alloy is light weight and good strength. There are many industries adopt aluminum profile replace the original materials. It is very hard to design and make mould.
Choose aluminum ingots and heating temperature reasonably. Strictly control the extrusion billets of alloy composition. Some enterprises required the ingot grain is grade a in order to enhance the plasticity of the opposite sex and reducing.
