It is learned that with the help of Chongqing Science & Technology Commission, Chongqing Jieli Wheel Manufacturing Co.,Ltd. and Chongqing University did a university-industry collaboration with the total investment of 4 million yuan in 2008, proceeded project developing and technological breakthrough on high-performance cast aluminum alloy material, also applied in the volume production of motorcycle aluminum alloy wheel hubs.

According to the introduction, the new cast aluminum alloy wheel hub was 5.5%-7% lighter than the existing ones, the performance improved about 30% as well, faster speed up and less energy consumption realized energy conservation and emission reduction.

With the successful development of high-performance cast aluminum alloy material, Jieli has finished related technical renovation, established high-performance cast aluminum alloy wheel hub production line with annual production of over 1000 thousand pieces, realized achievements transformation.

According to the statics, during construction period Jieli has produced 1,710 thousand pieces of wheel hub. The products were not only applied in the production of motorcycles, but also exported to India, Vietnam, Bazil, etc, sales revenue reached 0.2 billion yuan, with wide development prospect.
