The experts hold that capacity and output in Sinkiang, Ningxia, Inner Mongolia, Gansu, Qinghai and Shaanxi were increased obviously, owing to the state develop-the-west strategy and resource superiority, local production cost with obvious advantages. Thus, senior aluminum-power groups and newly developing aluminum-power groups were all focused on electrolytic aluminium extension in Northwest region. But local extension speed was beyond imagination, transportation problems and decreasing cost advantage were likely to be the restrictions in the future. The development of logistics & warehouse industry and downstream processing will be the development trend within the following 5 years.
