Changes of China Electrolytic Aluminium Capacity

(China Aluminum Network) China electrolytic aluminium capacity was increased from 11,060 thousand tons in 2006 to 18,000 thousand tons in 2008, up 63%. Though government announced will not approve new construction and reorganization and expansion electrolytic aluminium project any more in 2009, still appeared 10% growth in that year. At the end of 2011, the capacity has reached 25,000 thousand tons, the real production was 17,500 thousand tons, but the capacity factor was only around 70%.
