Three Counties of Guangxi Form the Largest Aluminium Industrial Base of Asia

(China Aluminium Network) Three counties of Guangxi Baise including Pingguo County, Debao County and Jingxi County have formed the largest aluminium industrial base of China and Asia.

Guangxi is abundant in bauxite resource with identified reserve of 807 million tons which ranks second in China. The rich bauxite resource has attracted many aluminium companies.

During the Twelfth Five Year Plan period, Guangxi’s aluminium Industry is speeding up its development pace. Huayin Aluminium is promoting its 800,000 tons alumina technological upgrading project. Once it is completed, Huayin Aluminium’s production scale will reach 2 million tons per year. Chinalco is considering to increase the alumina production to 4 million tons during the Twelfth Five Year Plan period.
