(China Aluminum Network) Ford was introduced the 4th generation FOCUS to the public eagerly, though they have just promoted the 3rd generation in 2010. Furthermore, the 3rd generation have not introduced into Chinese market yet, the following were the information about the 4th generation MKIV. Senior official of Ford revealed the new FOCUS will lose weight about 200kg,
means this kind of sedan only has 1100kg.
Ford will use large quantity of aluminum products to replace steel in order to make brandnew FOCUS, Andrew Fraser the director of Power Department said that if Ford wants to cut CO2 emission to 95g/km in 2020, the cars must lose weight about 200kg. The 4th generation was expected to be appeared on the market in 2018.
