Shandong Longkou Forms Complete Aluminium Industrial Chain

(China Aluminium Network) Shandong County Territory Scientific Development Promotion Meeting was hosted recently. Longkou city was awarded two honorary titles including “Advanced Unit of Comprehensive Strength” and “Overall Development” on “Advanced Unit of 2009-2011 Provincial County Economy”.

Longkou is promoting its industrial agglomeration by chain operation. The city is keeping its tight grip on six leading industries such as aluminium material, automobile and auto parts. It is not only developing original raw material bases and R&D bases, but also processing segments and complete industrial chain of end products so as to realize industrial agglomeration and maximization of  economic benefit Currently, Longkou has formed a complete industrial chain of “energy-bauxite-alumina-electrolytic aluminium-aluminium profile-industrial profile and light alloy material-aluminium deep processing” represented by two major companies Nanshan Aluminium and Conglin Aluminium.

Longkou’s aluminium product structure has turned from low end civil profile into high end industrial profile. It has established specialized, intensive industrial pattern for high end aluminium materials. The domestic market share of rail traffic body profile, pop can and aluminium foil reaches 70%, 80% and 30% respectively.
