Over 60% Electrolytic Aluminium Capacity Has Already Weeded Out

(China Aluminum Network) Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) released the specific outdated capacity list of electrolytic aluminium industry in recent days, about 60% electrolytic aluminium capacity has already shut down.

This year there are 9 enterprises involved in the outdated capacity list of MIIT, weeded out 271.6 thousand tons of outdated capacity. 4 of the 9 enterprises came from Henan, one each in Jiangxi, Hunan, Yunnan, Gansu and Xinjiang, the rest were small and medium size aluminum enterprises. The electrolyzers of those outdated capacity were all below 160KA with high energy consumption and low output.
