Chairman of China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association Meets Rusal President

(China Aluminium Network) Chairman of China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association and State Council counselor Chen Quanxun met with president of Rusal Oleg Deripaska in Beijing on July 9. Vice chairman of China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association and senior officials of Rusal attended the meeting.
During the meeting, the two sides introduced their own development of aluminium industry and discussed potential cooperation between the two countries’ enterprises. Rusal hoped that China could invest in Siberia aluminium plant and establish a project working team to promote cooperation progress. Chen expressed interest in building an aluminium plant in Siberia and agreed to set up a working group by experts. He advised that the mutual cooperation should extend to aluminium processing and form a reasonable industrial chain. Both side agreed to sign Memorandum of Cooperation at appropriate time.
Invited by Chen Quanxun, Deripaska will attended the Aluminium Application Promotion Meeting held on August 22 by Counselor Office of State Council and China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association.
