The Operating Rate of A356 Aluminum Alloy Enterprises Decreased

(China Aluminum Network) Accodring to the survey of 15 aluminum alloy enterprises that the output of A356 aluminum alloy was 105.4 thousand tons in May decreased 3 thousand tons compared with last month, the operating rate also decreased 1.8% to 64.7%.

The demand in down stream was not improved while supply pressure increased with each passing day, the processing fee of A356 aluminum alloy continuously decreased in this month. At present, the price of A356 aluminum alloy was 650-700yuan/ton in Zhejiang area down 20-50yuan/ton when compared with former period.

This year has made a simple statistics to wheel hub enterprises that many wheel hub factories did extension and constructed new facilities in last year but this year only small sized factories in Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Jilin did new construction, each factory with hundred tons of demand, many large and medium factories with no intention of expansion plan.

Aluminum wheel hub industry was better than aluminum plate/strip/profiles industry, owing to weak market demand and ever-increasing supply that SMM expected A356 alloy enterprises may forced to choose small profits but quick turnover strategy.
