Non-ferrous metal enterprises in Longnan of Gansu stop production

The strong earthquake in Sichuan caused a great damage to the non-ferrous metal enterprises in Longnan of Gansu, and had a great impact on the operating of the enterprises and the lives of employees.

Gansu Baohui Group Co., Ltd. shut down its zinc smelting line, leading to the direct economic losses amounting to more than 10 million. A group of non-ferrous metal enterprises such as Gansu Xinyu Corporation, Chengzhou Smelting Company and Luoba Colored Metal Group have stopped production.

Gansu Association of Non-ferrous Metallurgical Industry timely contacted with Longnan non-ferrous metallurgical enterprises to acquire the casualties and property losses.

On May 14, the Association conveyed a message of sympathy to genially condole with workers and their families of the affected non-ferrous metallurgical enterprises in Longnan and pay its great respects to the leaders and workers fighting in the first line of the earthquake.

The Association rapidly raised the activity to present love to the people of disaster areas. Up to May 15, 93 workers of the association and its affiliated units had donated 17,610 yuan.
