China March Aluminium Production at 1,077,000t, up 11.1% on Year

Shanghai, April 16--State Statistics Bureau (SSB) announced Wednesday that China produced 1,077,000 tons of aluminium in March this year, up 11.1% to the same period last year; alumina at 2,048,000 tons in the month, up 25.5%.
Aluminium production totaled 3,122,000 tons in the first quarter, representing a 7.9 percent growth to the same period a year ago.
