China 2011 Electrolytic Aluminium Growth Rate Slows Down

(China Aluminium Network) According to the National Bureau of Statistics, China produced 17.677 million tons electrolytic aluminium in 2011, up by 12.1% on YoY basis. Compared with the 2011 output of 15.65 million tons and growth rate 21.4%, the growth rate in 2011 was slowed down.
It is mainly because China’s policy of controlling output of non-ferrous metals. In addition, the slowdowns in the fixed assets investment and social consumption retail sales are also the reason.
