Rio Sees to Partner with Chinese National Firms on Overseas Programs

Rio Tinto CEO Tom Albanese stated that the company values Chalco’s strength in engineering, and the partnership benefits both greatly, hoping Rio could cooperate with state-owned Chinese firms in developing overseas projects, said source from The Financial Times.
Rio hasn’t reached agreements with BHP Billiton’s steel firms due to freight, while Vale has seen eye to eye over price agreements with some Chinese and Japanese steel companies. Rio and BHP lifted iron ore volume exported to China through spot trading amid the period.
Albanese notes delay of spot trading in China customs will not produce any actual effects.
