China 2011 Bauxite Import Hits Record High

(China Aluminium Network) According to the China Customs statistics, China imported 4.5796 million tons bauxite in December, up by 48.61% on YoY basis. The total bauxite import volume of China reaches 448.449 million tons in 2011, up by 49.73% compared with 2010, which sets a new record in history.

China’s main bauxite importing countries included Indonesia, Australia and India.
